Review of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) by Dustin D — 25 Oct 2014
This movie has great and convincing performances, but the plot is contrived and it has the production value of an episode of "Seinfeld." The parents (and the audience) is supposed to support the couple despite the fact they come from different races.
But we're never expected to dismiss them because he's 37 and perfect in every way and she's a 23-year-old ditz and they're getting married after only knowing each other for 10 days. It's all a bit trite and frustrating.
