The Coens return to their weird kind of comedy, but it doesn't feel fully baked. The perfect cast are given plenty of fleshy characters to work with, but they don't always seem to know what to do with them; and the crisply designed and choreographed set pieces are fun and beautiful, but their contributions to the story at hand are few.
