Review of Hall Pass (2011) by Dan H — 01 Jul 2014
It's not very well made, or particularly funny but it's not without its (few) moments.
It's quite painful (and depressing) to watch the whitest guys you'll ever meet try to pick up girls and fail at every step of the way, but at least it's one of the few films that's truthful about how agonizingly difficult it can be to score these days, and I guess that's worth something...right? It's a film that tries to come across as about the sacred bond of marriage, but the message at the end feels hypocritical. Sidenote: Im not a big fan of these guys wives. They come across as bitchy most of the time (I'll give Pam from the office a pass though, cuz she straightens up at the end), Especially Christina Applegate's character that cheats on her husband and yet is allowed to get off scotch-free because she feels bad. OH BOO-HOO!
BONUS: Nicky Whalen is fucking HAWT as Leigh. In case you were wondering, YES, she does take that top off us for us (the lucky viewers) and those breasts are MAGNIFICENT (Those are indeed her real titts, god bless her).
