Hideous !! How is it possible that this trash wasn't slapped with an NC-17 rating based on the fist 20 minutes alone, the very part of the film where the youngest members of the cast are put through its most violent sequences !?! What stinking hypocrisy ! Forget the inane plot deviations from the original.
They're worthless.. What stays is how depraved Zombie's clear reverence for this monster is and the slow, clinical butchery of people with no concern for any attachment to the victims. They are there to be slaughtered as a demonstration of the monster's satanic beauty.
Scream, baby. Chop slice. So animalistic.
