Review of Halloween Kills (2021) by Jamess — 12 Jan 2022
Remember Lonnie? The kid that Dr. Loomis scared from behind the bushes in John Carpenter's Halloween? How about Tommy and Lindsey, the kids Laurie Strode babysat while being stalked by the "shape"? Well I hope you care about those characters a lot because they have more screen time than Jamie Lee Curtis' s Laurie Strode, along with once Sheriff Brackett and a bunch of secondary characters around town.
While Laurie is recuperating from her injuries in the hospital, the townsfolk become an unruly mob on the hunt for Michael Myers. And the many victims of Michael are these secondary characters who are introduced just to be killed off moments later.
Sure, Halloween Kills is the middle of a trilogy, but considering what happens it could have been wrapped up with a single sequel instead of being spread out over three movies. And I hope you like the phrase "evil dies tonight".
You'll hear it about 47 times.
