Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Private U — 27 May 2009
NEW REVIEW.
I used to be a big fan of this movie. but when I saw it after watching the 3 parts featuring anthony hopkins, it made me realize that the character of hannibal shudnt be a product of just a bad day. I know that the author of the series was forced to write this prequel but it just doesnt do justice to the character. its like the enigma, the magic, the mystery of the character has been reduced into a very simple beginning. still, I believe the movie is well made with great acting and direction. its just the story that doesnt seem to fit anymore. I believe its not fair to the character and that if they hadnt made this origin story, the intrigue of the character would still be intact.
OLD REVIEW.
Its a very good movie. it depics the beginnin of hannibal da cannibal well. and its been acted out well by the new guy. I wudve liked 2 c a little bit of how he developed a taste for food, scent, art and poetry dat dr. hannibal lecter had. but still it was a very good watch.
