Review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) by Michal Marek N — 14 Aug 2018

The second instalment in the Harry Potter series, does a good job of continuing the story and expanding it with many new locations, characters and story elements. The script however is a bit more inconsistent, with the pacing and structure feeling more lack lustre, with the school classes and investigation feeling more slotted in than before.

The darker elements do work well and like the first film it has many fun set pieces however they just don't gel together like they did in the first movie, making it more an essential piece of filler than a stand alone movie.
