A mixed tone, bloated runtime, uneven plotting, and unbearable expository pacing completely diminish the film's desire to provide a more cheery and empowering story that its following installments fail to achieve.
The Sorcerer's Stone's minuscule intentions are unable to overcome its colossal troubles to adapt the story.
