Review of Heart of Stone (2023) by Tsquared44 — 13 Aug 2023
This one surprised me. If you go into it not expecting much, you get a great experience. If you like movies like Mission impossible, bourne identity etc, these give the feels of what this movie is. Movies in the late 90s - early 2000s had a more realistic vibe and tech to them which made them more believable but as of late, alot of movies, action especially have scenes that are hokey in parts.
This is definitely one of them in certain action scenes but overall, I thought there was a great plot. Political and philosophical thoughts are prevalent after viewing, and the filming locations/setting, which were probably my favorite here, are spot on.
Plot was also really good for a weekend action flick. I was truly suprised. Gado is a beauty and as a man who takes a huge liking to her, my 8.5 gets bumped to a 9. Definitely a worth while watch if you like elements of revenge, adventute, coverups and political interpretations.
