Review of Heart of Stone (2023) by Jluis_001 — 12 Aug 2023
In the painful reality in which we are waking up, Heart of Stone emerges as a film that embodies the essence and structure reminiscent of content meticulously crafted by an algorithm, seemingly designed to pave the way for a franchise.
But why do I say this was written by an algorithm? Because the film overall looks and feels like a methodically orchestrated combination of superior films and, as a result, the ensuing work is completely lacking in both originality and true emotion and tension. It is replete with stereotypical characters and the ensemble sails along in a style and tone that is completely locked in, very uninspired and passionless.
This certainly isn't Mission Impossible and Gal Gadot as sure as hell it ain't Tom Cruise.
Another action dud from Netflix being sold as a big blockbuster and for streaming parameters that's enough.
