A great movie based on the book even though the movie might use a slightly different lens than the book to look at the Faith topic. Whether it's a good or bad thing, it really depends on your expectation and how & what you want to focus on.

I personally like the movie as everyone in this movie is just a plain 'normal' human being, including the pastor couple. They are not any holier than other church members. They made selfish mistakes too. Do you think God loves them lesser? No, not exactly. That's why God loves them so much and convicts them regarding their genuine faith with this incident. Only until then, they would just assume that they have a secure and unshakable faith that they believe they have. ;-).
