Review of Hell in the Pacific (1968) by John D — 08 Nov 2009
Riveting study of how freak circumstances tests primal instinct and humanity as social convention crumbles away. A very fine piece of work from Boorman, perhaps selling us just a little short though on the ending.
Marvin and Mifune are as always irresistable.
