Review of Hellraiser (2022) by Pmg1959 — 08 Oct 2022
The story is complicated but the logic hangs together and the mythology is well developed and interesting — Thanks to the source material and Clive Barker, who I think is a horror genius. In a movie like this, all involved must take things seriously, as any camp would spoil the effect.
Yet the movie can’t be too serious, or it would be dreadfully tedious. The director strikes the balance perfectly and the result is an entertaining and truly disturbing flick.
