This is what Clive Barker would have wanted it to be. Doug Bradley sitting this aside was great as he could totally come back for fan service and it left room to breathe for the new cast. The addiction, the depression, the sex, this fires on all things hellraiser.
People often forget that Clive's horror can take time to build and the Cenobites played on the human emotion just as much as murdered the hell out of people. Go see this as a hellraiser fan. There are some valid critical points one could make but this is a solid stand alone entry that could leave room for more lore in the future.
