Review of Hercules Against the Moon Men (1964) by Adam F — 07 Aug 2012
Not as terrible as you would think. The moon man costume is insanely goofy and made me burst out laughing whenever it was on screen. Alan Steel was decent as Hercules, and the supporting cast was a bit mixed.
The story was pretty standard for the most part with the usual seductive queen, love triangle, Uranus jokes, random goons, traps, and caverns. Then there's the 10 minute sandstorm scene near the end which kills all of the momentum.
Finally, with two minutes left in the movie, Hercules knocks the moon man over and destroys the Mountain of Death, complete with stock footage of random lava/earthquakes. Brilliant.
