Review of Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) by Ryan V — 08 Feb 2013
There is apparently an unwritten rule that if a sequel deviates at all from what made the original popular/successful, then it is the bastard son of celluloid and should be shunned as such. Personally, I admire sequels that go out on a limb and try a new situation with familiar characters.
This movie RULES firstly because of it's sheer abandon of logic (not that the first had any), and secondly just because it is just goddamn FUN! Loved it, and no dour-faced MacLeod wannabe can convince me otherwise.
There CAN'T be only one!
