It would be truly sad and miserable if both Amy Adams and Glenn Close get the Oscar nomination and the award for this film, because I'm not gonna say they have done a bad job, but this is the typical kind of exploitative and manipulative film who specifically seeks for that, and neither actress deserves it.
On Ron Howard's part, this film is as uneven as it has been his entire career.
