Review of Hit the Ice (1943) by Kevin N — 15 Oct 2010
Always entertaining but not especially noteworthy among better career achievements, this Abbott and Costello comedy finds the duo at a snowy mountain resort in search of the gangsters in charge of the crime they've been framed for.
A lot of time is spent on Ginny Simms and her musical numbers and there isn't nearly enough screen time for Tubby and his straight man to develop any hearty laughs, but the few sequences of uninterrupted gags- particularly towards the end- make the movie worthwhile.
