Review of Hostel: Part II (2007) by Ajay M — 09 Jun 2018
Honestly, this movie is quite underrated. Not only does it provide suspense, but it also demonstrates the consequences of impulsive thinking. The acting is also on point, since characters react exactly how you expect them to when being kidnapped.
The atmosphere is also quite amazing in such a unique way since the audience is fully aware that the three women and isolated and have the entire Hostel working against them. This makes the atmosphere extremely tense because you are spending the whole movie anxious because you know the characters will face inevitable doom, yet you never know exactly when.
The torture scenes, while not exactly my cup of tea, are also done very well since they are extremely difficult to watch, yet you are forced to look due to curiousity, which is something more horror films need to take inspiration from.
Overall, Hostel Part II is a sequel which surpasses the original and is great for the family.
