Review of Hostiles (2017) by Chris K — 26 Jan 2018
Although not a movie for the faint hearted - it is a stark view of life in the American West just after the Frontier had been brutally closed - the performances by Christian Bale and Wes Studi as survivors of that brutal struggle, trying to salvage what was left of their humanity were wonderful, and Rosamund Pike's performance as the lone survivor of a massacre that had taken her husband and three children dead was worthy of an Oscar.
