Another installment in the "Sequel that Doesn't Need to Exist" series, "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" is awful, pure and simple. The jokes are haphazard and massively immature: they play on the basest humor and barely illicit a laugh (at least from me).
From a narrative perspective, the film fails on all fronts because John Cusack's character has been wiped from the movie, despite plentiful calls to his involvement in the story's development.
Despite all of the ridiculousness, "Time Machine 2" fails to make the ridiculous work.
