The plot is clever and interesting as written but unfortunately the execution is way too unfocused and overly forceful in its attempt to be uniquely subversive. Almost went 2.5* because I can appreciate how this may work for some, but I just did not enjoy this one despite the decent cast and basis being a Neil Gaiman work.
