Review of Hunter Killer (2018) by Michael A — 25 Oct 2018
False dramatics and a serious lack of character is the best way to describe this waste of time. The story is intriguing however there are too many emotional plays in this move wherein 4 star Admirals are overacting emotional ploys to suck the audience into a perceived act of desperation.
This movie lacks a serious military consultant that would help to outline military bearing and procedure. More importantly, low level actors from the NSA play a significant role in determining strategic military action and influence.
The scenes outside of the submarine are rushed in an effort to cause emotional concern from the audience but it is just too silly to add any real measure to the story. A lot potential but unfortunately the overall story comes up short.
This is certainly no hunt for Red October!
