An amazing romantic comedy that deserves far more recognition than it gets. The Archers (Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger) were so amazing in this inspired phase that this black-and-white 'quickie' they intended to make in-between masterpieces, because of the then-shortage of Technicolor stock was in itself a masterpiece.
Heartily recommended, whether you love anything Celtic, the works of the Archers, or simply a wonderfully scripted and well-acted and directed movie. I wish they still made movies like these nowadays.
