First Law: A robot must never harm a human being.
Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given to them by human beings.
Third Law: A robot must protect its own existence.
In the future, we have robots to do all jobs for us, and in turn, we all get a job working for US Robotics. Everyone thinks this is fine and dandy, minus Detective Spooner, who possesses an illogical hate for robots. A robot named Sonny has just murdered its owner and creator, an act which is mistaken for suicide. Everyone thinks Spooner is nuts, but does thinking you're the last sane person on Earth really make you crazy? The robots are all programmed with the three laws, so they can't possibly revolt, can they?
A murder mystery, a satire on corporate technology, and an incredible action story spun into one, "I, Robot" is a near perfect science fiction movie. Not much more can be said without ruining it.
