Review of I Spit on Your Grave (2010) by Damian S — 11 May 2018

I liked, but at the same time, disliked this remake of the 1978 exploitation shocker. I actually never saw the original, but it was supposed to be one of the worst movies ever made. But on its own, this film, for horror standards, isn't actually all that bad, it definitely pertubes and shocks you, through gritty scenes of merciless rape and bloody torture.

But what I dislike about the film is the screenplay, the characters weren't developed enough and the whole thing feels a little half-assed. The ending could've been done better too. And if you're going to remake a low budget flick, at least make it pricy, but this film is just as cheap, which kind of defeats the purpose of remaking a movie.

But overall, it's a descent revenge film, that gives you a feeling of hopelessness and disgust while watching. Go see it if you're curious enough !
