Review of Ice Princess (2005) by Jon C — 31 Dec 2012

For 2005:

The movie loses so many ratings for not having one single original thought and the whole script is a giant cliche that's been done to death.

But the performances from Michelle Trachtenberg, Joan Cusack and Kim Catrall make up for the lack of new ideas and messages.

The soundtrack is pretty awesome, the skating stunts are well-choreographed and it's got such an upbeat energy-feel to it all.

Machines don't make the jump to success, it's the one willing to be educated that makes the victory.

And it's more than just the mechanics of how something like skating works.

It's good to be smart but also to be talented and determined.
