Review of If I Stay (2014) by Private U — 09 Oct 2014

"If I stay" was a perfectly suited title for a film that promised that your heart-strings will be touched... Well, my heart-strings are fine thank you.... The perfectly selected movie title was so apt, that I was asking myself that same question throught the slow crawling film.

"Should I stay?" All 7 people that packed screen 10 at a 10 screen cineplex wasa testiment of the film allure. At times I was thinking is my recent bout with the Chickungunya Virus was more tolerable that sitting thru this poorly acted and painful mellodrama.

The only redeeming factors were the cello solos and the fact that the lights and credits eventually came on. In the last quarter of the film, I could care less about who came or who stayed.... My hankie is still dry and my loudest comment is actually a "blank stare".
