Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Yvette W — 12 Mar 2010
It's hard to make a feature film about someone's life. Most biopics give you fact after fact after fact about a person and then cut to their death or where they are today. In I'm Not There the audience gets to experience many different aspects of Bob Dylan.
This movie is so amazing because it doesn't try to explain who Bob Dylan is. Instead, this movie paints a picture of mistery and lore featuring one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century.
I left the movie not knowing who Bob Dylan is and that is the beauty of the film. You can't figure out someone's life in 2 hours 15 minutes. Fantastic film worth seeing multiple times.
