Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Alec L — 22 Dec 2015
Unique in its ability to disturb the viewer, I'm Still Here will always remain an enigma. Worth viewing for nothing more than its singularly disgusting nature, Joaquin Phoenix's attempt to critique the effect of fame on the artist fails on perhaps every level, especially on the basic level of watchability.
I'm Still Here traffics in the worst type of originality, that which is merely meant to cause a rise in the viewer, and therefore belongs on no film shelf of any living, breathing, honest human being.
