Review of In the Loop (2009) by Michael C — 22 Sep 2018
A very British comedy. If you don't like our humour, probably steer clear of this one. Featured a number of side-splitting sequences, although almost all of them have to be accredited to the character of Malcolm Tucker, played effortlessly by Peter Capaldi.
Ultimately, the films major flaw is that, when Capaldi isn't in a scene - which is actually a fair amount of the movie - it never comes close to reaching those heights. When he's there, it's brilliant, and when he isn't you're just begging for him to burst in, swearing at the top of his voice.
That's not to say the rest of the movie isn't funny - it is - but he's undeniably the best and most memorable part.
