Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Steve S — 18 Nov 2007
A somewhat guilty pleasure, this is one of my all-time favorite films. Sutter Kane, a mix of H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King (Lovecrafts's eldritch horrors with the lifetime popularity of King) finds a crack in the universe -- and his 'fiction' takes on a life of its own.
See that light at the end of the tunnel..? It's probably the Lurker in the Dark on its way to devour your sanity...
