Review of In the Tall Grass (2019) by Cristoparado — 04 Oct 2019
What could have been a good filmic iteration of the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill, suffers with the acting of most of its cast, maybe not on their own account but because of the script which is superfluous and fast.
A great tale on guilt, shame, and redemption through self-mortification, with a subtext of hard criticism on the main pillars of patriarchy and the status quo, ends up a straight to TV movie which will be forgotten in no time.
