Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Sam L — 24 Jul 2018
Before I get into my review of Incredibles 2, I want to preface by saying that I was less of a fan of the original film then I am of this sequel. Incredibles 2 is a visually beautiful mess of a film which tries to cram way too much into this single film.
It follows a pretty simple story in which the so called "Supers" are having a political fight against the people to make them legal again, so a millionaire helps them with this campaign by funding them enough to make saving people in need possible again.
First of all, the ending of the original Incredibles promises an action packed fight against a super villain called "The Underminer", and this happens but no where to the extent where it is a satisfying conclusion.
The film has a main villain called "The Screenslaver" who is just there to have social commentary about a reliance on mobile phones which just felt preachy in the long run. Overall the film is weak in about every way possible and just isn't a good time for anyone who isn't a child.
