Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Tyler N — 17 Jun 2018
The first thing that stuck out to me as odd was right before the movie began, some of the cast came on screen and raved about the movie, saying it was "worth the wait." This made me feel two things: first, it added extra pressure to like the movie. Secondly, I felt like the audiences job was to tell you if it was worth the wait or not, not the other way around!
I REALLY wanted to love this movie. However, they used a lot of their best humor/jokes in the trailers, which was disappointing. I also felt bored.. really bored, when we were being told what Elastigirl's mission was. I am really annoyed that they never caught the Mole guy either- so he is still out there somewhere robbing banks?
It felt like a bunch of small plots strung together instead of one cohesive movie.
The most original aspect of this movie was Jak Jak and the racoon. Everything else felt underdeveloped.
