At the beginning it feels nostalgia for the characters. Once the story goes on, it doesn't feel like the epic story the first movie was. The special effects are good but they dwarf the story instead of helping it.
The new characters just don't measure up to the old characters. Overall an average movie that couldn't measure up to its predecessor.
