It sure worked for me! Have to say, I really don't get why so many (esp. the sharper critics) are bagging on a sincerely made, heart-in-the-right-place tribute to the original movie. After the low point of Crystal Skull things could only go up.
And if I'm being honest, every film after Raiders was diminishing returns. While I'll always defend Spielberg, it seems like it took James Mangold to get us back to the essence of the original film - and know to know what to do with one character in particular.
It's certainly a tough crowd this summer, but I think time will treat this one kindly.
