One thing they did right: The de-aging process they used on Harrison Ford looks convincing. The adventure starts with a Nazi encounter (what else?) when the titular object is lost. Fast forward to the 70s, when Jones is retiring and his goddaughter shows up (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) with news of the location of that device.

As expected, the narrow escapes and chases are numerous. Most of them are rather unexciting and shot/edited in the chaotic style where you can't tell what's happening. The dialogue never sparkles and the characters are uninteresting stereotypes.

The final act just completely abandons all reality and interest. While there is lots of action, it never reaches the level of surprise, tension or fun that we've come to expect.
