This movie has nothing going for it. as a portrait of a mediocre aimless artist it fulfills its brief but the downside is that it's aimless and mediocre to watch and not aimless in a fun big lebowski way.
I love the coen brother's early work but this movie and a few other recent ones give me the impression they are sliding into mediocrity with little to say. tragic.
