The movie delivers the exact same experience in the plot just like the prequel with some twists, though it delivered more like answering some scenes which were left unanswered in the prequel. And they've kept more focus on the dream state or 'further level' in this one.
Some scenes will get you confused especially if you don't remember the prequel or haven't seen it.
