Review of Insidious: The Last Key (2018) by Chris S — 25 Jan 2018
This was a really poor addition to what otherwise have been excellent horror movies. Good casting, I hope we'll see the new psychic chic in post timeline movies. However I'm not so excited with how the "sidekicks" were portrayed, overdone.
Some good jump scares. And there was a hint of a good story there, but the follow through in plot and directing/editing was absent. And what was up with the HORRIBLE dubbing when the Elise first shows up on screen.
Was that 1970's sound tech? And why did they make the demons face so similar "in sneak peaks", so similar in the face from the demon in Sinister? Made me think they were going to tie that in too.
Quite disappointed...
