Review of Iron Man 2 (2010) by Billy B — 26 Jul 2015
Stark Enterprises returns but this time Congress is after Tony's suit because they think it's an illegal weapon...Also out to get Tony is a shaming rival named Justin Hammer who had failed himself to make these kind of suits, also after Stark is Ivan Vanko or better known as Whiplash, played by Mickey Rourke, who has constructed a miniaturized arc reactor of his own.
Vanko is the son of disgraced Russian physicist Anton Vanko, who collaborated on the first arc reactor with Stark's father Howard. I think Mickey Rourke said more dialogue in one speech of one of his matches from The Wrestler than he did in all of this.
Overall this isn't a bad movie, it's about on par or as good as the first one, I don't know, to me something seems to be missing with these, I mean, the acting is good and the action scenes are good, but for superhero movies, these are very dialogue driven and I think it hurts them a bit, they don't have to go crazy with the action like Transformers or Terminator, but the action needs to be presented a little more, I forgave the 1st one for the action being spread out a lot because it was the 1st one and the 1st usually introduces everyone and can get away with little action, but this is a sequel and everyone expects the action, not a dialogue heavy story, but it is watchable and entertaining for the most part so I have to recommend it.
