1 part Horror movie, but 2 parts coming of age story. They really knocked this one out of the park. The first attempt at IT was a mixed bag. I loved Tim Curry, but that was about it. In this version, they really make you like the children.
You feel the same sense of nostalgia you had watching Goonies, Stand by Me and even Stranger things. Pennywise was solid as well. I went into this worried I wouldn't like Pennywise since Tim Curry did such an amazing job, but he was just as good, if not better (because of an actual budget and special effects).
This is a solid movie for those that are fans of horror, but it's not just for horror fans. I think this movie could really be entertaining to anyone.
