Such a huge disappointment! They changed so much that this can only be considered LOOSELY BASED on Stephen King's story.... and I mean so loosely based that only the names were correct and most everything else was changed.
I was looking forward to this film as the TV movie was lacking a lot due to censorship and inability to bring certain concepts to life on the screen. But other than adding in the kids swearing like they do in the book, they wrote out all the good stuff and added their own crap to the movie.
If you've never read the book or seen the original TV movie, then this was a great movie. But if you are a true fan of Stephen King and the book, IT, this movie was absolutely HORRIBLE.
