Review of It Came from Outer Space (1953) by Michael P — 23 Nov 2007
An almost archetypal 50's sci-fi movie, the first collaboration between Universal Studios producer Willam Alland and director Jack Arnold. In a small desert town, a meteor falls on the site of an abandoned mine.
The local intellectual swears that he saw a spaceship at the bottom of the pit left by the "meteor", but no one believes him. Before long, townsfolk are disappearing, weird things are happening, and the local sheriff figures maybe there is something to this crazy talk after all.
