Review of It Came from Outer Space (1953) by Stephen A — 06 Nov 2007
First of all the scenario is adapted from a work by Ray Bradbury. In this classic sci-fi film director Jack Arnold manages to uses the desert itself as a part of the cast to create the eerie athmosphere.
The producers forced the director to include scenes showing the alien monster and those scenes are in my opinion ruining the overall athmosphere of the film. Nevertheless it is a great sci-fi film from the 1950s.
Highly recommended.
