Review of It Happened One Night (1958) by Jakub M — 28 Aug 2014

Hey, let it happen again! It's stood the test of time, it's got a a stupendous performance from Clark Gable, and it's romantic but with a proper dose of self-distance and funny gags. That makes it a triple check, how about this! It surely doesn't take a genius to notice that it's a mighty tall order to make a movie that would still be able to rise to the occasion after eighty years, but Frank Capra and Robert Riskin don't seem to have too hard of a time doing just that.

And by that I mean a timeless classic that It Happened One Night certainly is.
