Review of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) by Tom B — 17 May 2018
I can't make sense of everybody's fascination with this JACK REACHER garbage. The first movie was dreadfully unexciting, because of its monotonous story that hardly furnished the adrenal impact of a 1970s James Bond flick.
NEVER GO BACK follows closely in the original film's footsteps, by yielding a hackneyed government conspiracy plotline that's fueled with banal dialogue, mystery, and hand-to-hand combat - instead of the costly action sequences that are typically associated with Tom Cruise movies.
It's a lesser-than ordinary romp across rooftops, dark streets, and weapon trading facilities; which once again, grossly fails to justify its blockbuster classification and budget.
