Review of Jerichow (2009) by Paul E — 09 Aug 2009

I went in to this movie with no expectations and trusting the Critics rating. I watched this one with my Girlfriend at the Ritz Bourse in Philly. Being a German Movie, obviously we din?t expect a lot of people in the Theater, as we expected there were very few in the theater , it felt like a private theater except for half a dozen people sitting in corners of the theater. The ambience was perfect for this movie. Well, coming to the movie . The Color , the choice of actors , the lonely village, the attention to the shots of the characters doing their chores were so appropriate to the plot of the movie.

Some parts of the movie are funny , especially it is not made intentionally funny but it totally blends with the plot and characterization.

Definitely not a super entertaining movie .We heard a snoring sound in the theater, it was definitely m in the movie watching experience.!!

Definitely a must watch for people who wants to think deep in to weird characterization .

I had an engaging discussion with my girlfriend after the movie about the psychological perceptions of the characters throughout the movie.
