Review of John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) by Beardedyoda — 02 Apr 2023

The fourth instalment of the John Wick saga is finally here and it lives up to the high standards set by its predecessors. Like the previous John Wick films, the action sequences and set pieces are incredible and seamlessly shot.

Much like the action, the cinematography--and camerawork in general--is also very well done, and the utilization of lighting in the film is some of the best I've seen in a while. However, I do think one or two of these previously mentioned action sequences may go on for a bit too long.

I also don't think the movie really needed its nearly three hour runtime, but that viewpoint is certainly subjective. I do recommend watching John Wick: Chapter 4 when you get the chance. Even though the film is quite lengthy when compared to others in its genre, it still sets the standard for what an action movie should be.
